Balasana: Balasana is also known as childpose and it is easy to perform. Firstly sit in Vajarasana on your knees and bend down forward and stretch your arms and back.

Viparita Krani: Lie down on the floor and do your legs up against the wall and deeply breathe. 

Uttanasana: Stand on your feet and bend downwards, hold your calf from back and touch your head to the knees.

Paschimottanasana: Sit comfortably and extend your legs then touch your toe from hand. stretch your whole back and arms.

Relaxation and Calming Pose 

Here are some of the poses that are simple to perform and provide the calming effect to your mind as well as to your body. These poses are very helpful in the process of stress relief such as : 

Savasana: This is a relaxing asana in which you have to lie down with your back. Your hands are side to your waist and relax the mind.

Supta Baddha Konasana: Lie down from back and touch both the soles together and hand side towards your waist. 

Cat Cow Pose: Sit on your knee, bend down and your palm touches the ground then make the arch in your back while inhaling (cow) and then while exhaling make the round inwards bend your spine (cat). 

Pranayama Techniques for Stress Relief 

Pranayama are the breathing techniques in which you have to make some mudras from your hand and perform these breathing techniques in a simple way. Here are some of the basic pranayama for stress relief such as : 

Anulom Vilom – Sit comfortably in sukhasana and then breathe from your one nostril while the other will block, then exhale from the blocked nostril and repeat the process from both nostrils. 

Bharmari – Sit comfortably, then inhale deeply and produce a humming sound when exhaling slowly. 

Sheetali – In Sheetali Pranayama, sit comfortably, roll your tongue and inhale from your tongue and exhale through your nostrils. 

How To Practice the Pose 

Whenever a person plans to practice an asana then they should follow some tips to get the better effect of the pose on their body. Whether the person performs an asana or a pranyama. It is better to perform it in a proper way to get all the benefits in the right direction. 

  • Focus on your breath : Firstly you have to focus deeply on your breath from the nostrils you are taking or the other one you are releasing from. It will give a deep and effective benefit to your whole body. 
  • Listen to your body : Make sure that you do not push your limit and stop when your body is not able to push it more. Make sure that you will not go beyond your comfort level and perform it in your limits. 
  • Create a routine : Create a time to do practice and make sure that you will perform it at the same time daily for the better result. Same time and consistency helps to maintain your mental health.
